Ladies and gentlemen, thanks to all of you, the closing of ASCAPAP 2023 is approaching. Up until today, 559 professionals from 16 countries or regions have registered and 525 have participated. I want to express my sincere gratitude for your presence. We have had ASCAPAP Country and Region Report, 4 special lectures, 12 plenary lectures, 38 symposiums, 3 sponsored seminars, one workshop, one media theatre, and 150 poster presentations. Additionally, we have organized two social installations, an exhibition of art, and a calm-down space. I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all of you who attended the opening ceremony, welcome reception, and conference party. I hope you have been enjoying engaging conversations with your colleagues, delightful dinners, intriguing presentations and fascinating Japanese traditional performances.
Thanks to all of you, I suppose that ASCAPAP 2023 has become the biggest ASCAPAP congress we have ever experienced. It truly demonstrates our collective will to gather together, overcome challenges, and work towards the betterment of child and adolescent mental health after the COVID-19. ASCAPAP 2023 in Kyoto marks the beginning of a new chapter for ASCAPAP, and our success here today lays a strong foundation for the flourishing of ASCAPAP in the next decade. I would like to emphasize that this congress is hosted by the Japanese Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and we wholeheartedly declare our commitment to the protection and enhancement of child and adolescent mental health worldwide, surpassing our past endeavors.
UNESCO has emphasized that the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are essential elements of our lives, just as ASCAPAP is. We have strived to keep the operation and management of this congress as simple as possible. Apart from the registration system and on-site management, we did not rely on any external agencies. The logo of ASCAPAP 2023 and the design of the Abstract Book were created by Dr. Mayu Aoshima, a child psychiatrist in Japan. The Abstract Book was edited by us, and we personally selected and ordered the congress bags and pens. As a result, we were able to reduce the registration fees, making it easier for everyone to participate in the congress. We are grateful for the support of Prof. Toyosaku Ota, the Secretary General of ASCAPAP 2023, and the fine management provided by Prof. Yukiko Kano, who facilitated coordination among the EC members of ASCAPAP. The success of this congress owes a great deal to the members of Japanese Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, including the Organizing Committee of ASCAPAP 2023, as well as all the participants who have gathered here in Kyoto. We sincerely appreciate all of you.
Organizing Committee of ASCAPAP 2023 would like to present the Best Poster Awards. This certificate certifies for him/her winning the Best Poster Award. Congratulations! We will send out the certifications to the winners who have already left Japan.
Once again, thank you for your attendance and active engagement. We wish you all safe travels back home and continued success in your important work. Let us carry the spirit of ASCAPAP2023 with us as we strive towards the betterment of child and adolescent mental health worldwide. Thank you and farewell!
